NAMI Ohio (National Alliance on Mental Illness Ohio) is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Through a statewide network of affiliates, NAMI Ohio provides free support, education, and advocacy to communities across Ohio.
NAMI Ohio’s mission is to ensure that people impacted by mental health conditions have access to the resources, support systems, and policy advocacy they need to thrive. Their work focuses on three core areas: support, education, and advocacy.
Programs include peer-led support groups for individuals living with mental illness, family support groups, and evidence-based educational courses such as Family-to-Family and Peer-to-Peer. These programs help participants build coping skills, reduce isolation, and better understand mental health conditions.
In addition to direct services, NAMI Ohio is a leading voice in mental health advocacy, working with policymakers and community leaders to improve access to care and reduce stigma statewide. The organization also offers online resources, crisis information, and community events to raise awareness and promote mental wellness.
