Cooking Together, Cooking Forever was created to give parents an opportunity to spend time with their children forming healthy eating habits and learning basic kitchen skills.
Getting children actively involved in cooking makes them much more likely to try many different foods, especially if they are the ones doing the preparing.
Cooking Together, Cooking Forever has four primary components:
1) Educational videos delivered over the internet with specific lessons
2) Enrichment materials with additional information and suggested practice activities delivered via email in between the release of each new video segment
3) A leaders Activity Guide that full of great ideas to make running the program easy and fun
4) A parent’s guide to help families get the most out of the program
Unit sign up is quick and painless! Simply go to:
http://www.cookingtogethercookingforever.org/ and click on the organization sign up button. Enter your PTA name and Unit ID, the approximate number of families in your school, and your contact info. Everything you need will be emailed to you.
